Applique pillowcases ($25) make such a sweet gift for a baby, toddler, or big kid.   One of my favorite things to make because I know it will be used for years to come. I can match any theme or color scheme.

My oldest son, Jackson, has a similar applique pillowcase done in primary colors to match his superhero room.  When he was 2 and a half he would touch and say each letter of his name before he would go to sleep.  What a precious memory!

I just made this one to match little Colin's jungle animal nursery.  Of course fabrics can be changed to customize this for your little one or big one's room.  I can also use the Swirly applique to girl it up.

Alone these make a great Christmas or birthday gift, ($20 applique, $15 embroidery only), but how cute would it be to pair it with a special flashlight and night time storybook.
